INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The STARZ Internship is a 10-week summer-based program. Upcoming openings will be posted on the career site at the beginning of the year. Internship eligibility includes being enrolled in an undergraduate degree program or having graduated within the last 6 months of the start of the program. In order to be considered, applicants must submit an application with their resume. Throughout the program, interns will have the opportunity to shadow team members, work on individual and group projects, and network with industry professionals. Interns also participate in learning and development workshops, business leadership speaker series events, and employee resource group interactions. We want interns to be fully immersed into the STARZ culture.

Past Intern Opportunities

Original Programming

Work with the team on creative development and management of STARZ domestic TV and streaming projects. Tasks include analyzing story properties, writing coverage, and gaining industry insights into premium cable development and programming.

Software Development - Streaming Video

Collaborate with the STARZ Digital Platform team on aspects of streaming services like encryption, transcoding, and delivery. Work with developers, QA, cloud engineering, and front-end teams to build and maintain streaming applications.

Data Products & Engineering

Work with the Data Products & Engineering team on cloud-based enterprise data systems. Learn about AWS, software engineering, containerized applications, ETL/ELT, databases, data warehousing, and visualization tools.

Distribution

Contribute to sales and marketing campaigns aimed at optimizing subscribers and revenue. Responsibilities include creating sales materials, analyzing marketing programs, and assisting with partner promotions.

Content Insights

Support strategic content decisions through data analysis and business intelligence. Projects include competitive landscape tracking, learning Nielsen reporting, SQL queries, and creating content performance presentations.

Brand Marketing

Assist in brand strategy and initiatives to drive awareness and engagement. Tasks include competitive analysis of streaming platforms, researching market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to gather insights.
